Adjusting Item Count Frequency

Change how often an item or product is counted (weekly, EOW, monthly or quarterly)

Your Cycle Count Frequency determines how often items are included in your weekly count sheet. This article explains how to manually adjust the assigned count frequency for items in Inventory Ally. You can manually adjust the assigned count frequency for each item in a couple of different ways.

Adjusting Count Frequency During a Normal Cycle Count

On the Weekly Count Sheet

During your regular cycle count, items are listed on your weekly count sheet. To change the count frequency of any item, follow these steps:

  1. Open the expanded view of the item on the count sheet.

  2. Locate the count frequency dropdown list.

  3. Select a new count frequency from the list. Your changes will be saved automatically.

Accepting a Recommended Change:

Yellow Icon Indication

Some items will have a yellow icon located to the left of the item description. This icon indicates that Inventory Ally recommends a different count frequency. To accept this recommended change, follow these steps:

  1. Click on the Yellow Icon, a dialogue box will appear.

  2. Select "Accept Change" to adjust the count frequency to the recommended category. The count frequency will be updated accordingly. Your changes will be saved automatically.

Search and Change Count Frequency:

Search and Modify

You can be proactive in adjusting the count frequency for items by searching for them, rather than having to wait for them to appear on your weekly count sheet. Here's how:

  1. Use the search bar at the top of the Inventory Ally page and enter the name or details of the item you want to adjust.

  2. The search results will display all relevant items.

  3. Select the item you wish to modify.

  4. In the expanded view, find the count frequency dropdown list.

  5. Choose the new count frequency for the item.

  6. Your changes will be saved automatically.
