Enabling Midwest Veterinary Integration for Shopping Cart & Order History

How do I connect my Inventory Ally account to Midwest Veterinary Supply to submit orders and sync order history automatically?

Midwest Veterinary Supply helps clinics stay stocked with medications, equipment, and everyday supplies. Connecting your Midwest account to Inventory Ally lets us pull in your order history and submit your approved orders directly to Midwest — orders go through immediately, with no separate checkout step on Midwest's site.

Before you start: You'll need an existing Midwest Veterinary Supply account with a Login ID and Password. Don't have a Midwest account yet? Contact Midwest directly to set one up before connecting here.

Setting up the Midwest integration

1. Go to Integrations in the left-hand menu, find the Midwest Veterinary card, and click Enable.

2. Sign in with your Midwest Login ID and Password, then click Continue. Your password isn't stored — only a secure access token is saved so Inventory Ally can keep syncing on your behalf.

3. Choose the Bill To customer and Ship To location for this hospital, then click Connect. If you're not sure which Bill To/Ship To applies to this hospital, check with whoever manages your Midwest account.

Note: If you order controlled substances through Midwest, set your default DEA License and DVM License here too. Midwest requires a license on file for any order containing scheduled drugs, and Inventory Ally uses whichever licenses you select as the default for future orders.

4. Once connected, the Midwest card shows an Active badge. If your session ever expires, you'll see a prompt to sign in again — your Bill To/Ship To selections are kept, so you won't need to re-enter them.

What this integration does

Midwest works differently from some of our other integrations: there's no cart to review on Midwest's site. Once you complete your inventory count and approve an order in Inventory Ally, that order is submitted straight to Midwest. Midwest order history also syncs automatically, so past purchases show up in your usage data and ordering recommendations.
