After you place an order, you may expect the item to disappear from the Want List immediately. However, Inventory Ally removes items only after certain conditions have been met. This article explains why an item may remain on the Want List longer than expected and what to review before contacting Inventory Ally Support.
What to review
Confirm the item was ordered
Start by confirming that the item was actually ordered. Items remain on the Want List until an order has been placed that meets the recommended quantity.
Confirm the order was finalized
Creating an order isn't enough. The order must be finalized before Inventory Ally recognizes it as complete. Until that happens, the item will remain on the Want List.
Allow for the weekly refresh
The Want List updates during Inventory Ally's weekly refresh cycle, which runs on Sunday. Even after an order has been finalized, the item may remain visible until the next scheduled refresh.
Note: Changes to the Want List are not applied immediately. The list is updated during the weekly refresh cycle.
Confirm you don't intend to order the item
If you don't plan to order an item, change its To Order quantity to 0. Inventory Ally will prompt you to confirm the change, add a note explaining the decision, and display the expected stockout date. If the item remains at a To Order quantity of 0, it will automatically be removed from the Want List during the next weekly refresh.
Still need help?
If the order has been finalized, the weekly refresh has completed, and the item still appears on the Want List unexpectedly, contact Inventory Ally Support for further assistance.
Key takeaways
If an item remains on the Want List longer than expected, review:
whether the item was ordered
whether the order was finalized
whether the weekly refresh has occurred
whether the item was intentionally left with a To Order quantity of 0
Once an order decision has been finalized and the weekly refresh runs, the item should be removed from the Want List.
